Rupee eases against dollar

Rupee eased on Monday as traders watched a jittery stock market, shaky debut by Reliance Power and declines in some Asian indices.

Rupee was quoted at 39.63/64 per dollar, a tad lower than the previous close of 39.625/635, and near a two-week low of 39.685 hit on February 6.

Call money rates opened at 06.00-06.25 per cent on Monday as against the previous close of 06.00 - 06.10 per cent on Saturday. It touched a high of 06.25 per cent and a low of 06.00 per cent so far.
