nadal wimbledon champ
Yesterday at the center court at Wimbledon, history was made as the World no 1 and 5 time champion Roger Federer was outclassed by the young and energetic Spaniard World no2 and French Open champion Rafael Nadal in an epic victory. It was the battle between the King of Clay and the King of Grass yesterday and Rafael Nadal proved his might by stealing one of the most coveted trophies of Roger Federer. In an epic 5 setter thriller, Rafa beat Roger 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7. But for the rain, it would have been an easy straight sets victory but the rain made sure that Federer made a comeback and the match end in a gruelling 5 setter. Rafa, with this victory became the 2nd player in history after Bjorn Borg to achieve this double of winning the French open and Wimbledon in the same year. So, the King of Grass finally succumbed to the FUTURE King of Grass.
